A heat reflective cover is a specially manufactured plastic or laminated material that reflects a portion of solar radiation away from the greenhouse structure. Unlike standard clear films that allow most heat to pass through, this type of cover reduces internal heat buildup while still supporting photosynthesis. This is particularly important during warmer months when overheating can stress plants, slow growth, and increase water usage. By moderating temperature naturally, growers reduce reliance on mechanical cooling systems and create a more consistent environment.
