I’ve got a 2014 Cayenne and the AC blower motor has stopped working on speeds 1 through 3. It works fine on speed 4 (highest setting), but nothing on lower speeds. From what I’ve read, this is usually a failed blower motor resistor on most cars. But I’ve also heard that on some Porsches, the blower motor itself can cause this issue. I took it to a shop in Dubai and they wanted to replace the entire blower motor assembly for 1,800 dirhams without even testing the resistor. That seemed excessive. I found https://caracrepairsharjah.ae/brands/porsche/ and it looks like they specialize in Porsche AC systems. Has anyone here had the blower motor resistor fail on a Cayenne or similar Porsche? Was it an easy fix or did you need to replace the whole motor? I’m trying to figure out if I can just replace the resistor myself or if I should take it to a specialist. The car has 85k kilometers on it. If you know a good AC specialist in Sharjah for Porsches, please share. Thanks for any advice.
