I’ve got a 2017 Raptor that I absolutely love, but the 10 speed transmission has been acting up for a while now. Hard shifts, sometimes clunks when downshifting, and occasionally it feels like it’s slipping between 3rd and 4th. I took it to a Ford dealer in Dubai and they said “it needs software update” which they did for 800 dirhams. Didn’t fix anything. Then they said “maybe it’s the valve body” and quoted 7k without any guarantee. I’m frustrated because I don’t think they actually know what’s wrong. I’ve been searching online for a shop that really understands these Ford 10R80 transmissions. I found a website and decided to find out here if anyone has experience with a specialist in Sharjah who works on these units. I know the 10 speed has known issues with the CDF drum bushing and the torque converter, but I need someone who can actually diagnose it properly instead of just throwing parts at it. Has anyone here had a Ford 10 speed repaired in Sharjah? I’m willing to drive there from Dubai if the shop is legit. I just don’t want to waste more time and money on places that don’t know these transmissions. The truck has 140k kilometers on it and I’d like to keep it for a few more years. Any recommendations from Raptor or F150 owners would be amazing. Thanks.
