I recently relocated for work and don’t know anyone here. Traditional social media feels too noisy for finding local friends, and meetup groups can be intimidating. What is the easiest way to connect with nearby people who share my hobbies?

Hey everyone. Moving to a completely new place is always tough, and honestly, the hardest part is the sudden lack of a social circle. I spent my first two months just working and going home because finding people with the same vibe felt impossible. A colleague eventually told me to log into Amurest https://amurest.com/ to find local groups, and it completely changed my routine. Instead of endless scrolling, I was able to chat directly with people nearby who love hiking and board games just as much as I do. It made breaking the ice so much easier, and I actually met my current weekend hiking crew there. If you are starting over in a new area, definitely give it a try.
