Hi everyone,

I’ve been reviewing different website designs and noticed that many businesses still use the phrase Click here in buttons, banners, and call-to-action links. While it seems simple and direct, I’m curious whether it remains the best option for user engagement and accessibility.

Some experts suggest using more descriptive anchor text to improve user experience and SEO performance. However, others argue that Click here is familiar and encourages immediate action. Has anyone tested different call-to-action phrases and compared the results? I’d love to hear about your experiences, recommendations, and best practices.

Hi, In my experience, “Click here” can still work for simple calls to action, but it’s generally not the best choice for SEO or accessibility. Search engines and screen readers benefit from descriptive anchor text because it provides context about the destination page. For example, phrases like “Download the guide,” “View pricing,” or “Learn more about our services” are more informative and user-friendly.
