One recurring issue in delivery platforms is how quickly menu photos become inconsistent. Especially when items are added or changed frequently, you end up with a mix of old and new images, all taken in different conditions.
We saw this while working on a local restaurant catalog – some photos were good, others were clearly older phone shots, and the overall menu just didn’t feel cohesive.
Retaking or manually editing everything isn’t really practical at scale.
I came across https://www.splento.com/photo-refresh and the approach seems to focus on automating that cleanup and standardisation process for large catalogs.
For delivery and retail platforms, that kind of scalability probably matters more than perfect individual images.
