Most prop firms fail not because there is no demand, but because operations are not planned properly when launching a prop firm solution, and the platform starts growing.
In the early stages, everything may look simple. But as more traders join, problems start to increase quickly inside the prop firm software.
Common mistakes include:
- No proper system to manage risk across accounts
- Slow or manual payout processing
- Weak identity verification process
- Overcomplicated trading rules
- Poor tracking of trader activity
- Focusing only on marketing and ignoring backend operations
When these issues build up, the prop firm solution becomes difficult to manage and cannot continue in the long run.
